Anya Victoria Delgado

Anya Victoria Delgado is Co-Director of the Feminist Alliance for Rights and a Mexican feminist human rights lawyer with over 20 years of experience at the intersection of international law, feminist advocacy, and policy change.

At FAR, she shapes the organization’s global advocacy strategy and builds partnerships with feminist organizations, labour rights advocates, and international partners to advance policies protecting the rights of women and girls with a focus on gender-based violence, migration, labour rights, and access to justice.

Anya has directed and led multi-country initiatives funded by the US State Department, the UN Trust Fund to Eliminate Violence against Women, and UNHCR – designing protection systems, grant-making strategies, and survivor-centered accountability mechanisms that translate feminist principles into institutional practice. She has contributed to shaping international legal standards, including research that informed the global Due Diligence Framework on state responsibility for violence against women, and advocacy supporting the CEDAW Committee’s General Recommendation on the rights of Indigenous women.

Her work is grounded in both legal analysis and movement knowledge – bridging the gap between grassroots women’s organizations and the international frameworks designed to protect them. She specializes in Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH), supporting governments and NGOs in building survivor-centered safeguarding policies and accountability mechanisms.

Anya holds an LL.M. in Human Rights from the University of Notre Dame (Magna Cum Laude) and a law degree from Universidad Panamericana, Mexico.
